Zelensky hopes for successful Russia-Ukraine-US meeting

Listen to this article:

Ukraine hopes that the trilateral meeting between the US, Ukraine, and Russia, which will be held in Geneva next week, will be successful.

“Elchi” reports that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his speech at the Munich Security Conference.

“We really hope that the trilateral meetings next week will be serious, meaningful and useful for all of us. But frankly, sometimes it seems that the parties are talking about completely different things,” Zelensky said.

He stressed that unilateral concessions are unacceptable.

“Americans often touch on the issue of compromise. Often these compromises are discussed only in the context of what compromises Ukraine will make, not Russia. Europe is practically not at the table. In my opinion, this is a big mistake. We Ukrainians are trying to get Europeans involved in the process. Thus, European interests and opinions are taken into account,” the Ukrainian president noted.
