“Elchi” reports that the appeal reads:
“Traffic flow increases on intercity roads on Saturdays and Sundays. For this reason, the Main State Traffic Police Department recommends drivers to pay special attention to safety measures before traveling. It is important to check the technical condition of the car before departure. The serviceability of the brake system, steering, tire condition and lighting devices plays a key role in the safe passage of the trip. Choosing a speed limit appropriate to road conditions, maintaining a distance from the vehicle in front and overtaking only in permitted areas helps to prevent road accidents. It is necessary to take short breaks when feeling tired on long distances.”
“It is the main duty of every driver to avoid distractions during the trip, especially the use of mobile phones, and to use seat belts. Let’s not forget that a safe trip is not accidental – it is the result of careful and responsible behavior. Let’s follow the rules and protect safety on the roads together,” the report said.
