The US military has completed the operation to transfer approximately 5,700 members of the terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIS) from prisons in Syria to Iraq.
“Elchi” reports that the US Central Command (CENTCOM) has released information about this.
According to the information, the operation was completed on February 12. “The 23-day transportation operation, which began on January 21, concluded with US forces successfully transferring more than 5,700 adult male ISIS members from prisons in Syria to Iraq,” the command said in a statement.
Earlier, CENTCOM reported that US forces had begun transferring ISIS supporters held in Syria to Iraq. It was noted that the number of militants to be delivered to Iraqi territory could reach 7,000.
