EU-US relations have deteriorated.
According to “Elchi”, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson wrote about this on the “X” social network before participating in the Munich Security Conference.
“Transatlantic relations have changed. This is a fact. The US has been the pillar of Transatlantic security and prosperity throughout our lives. Now we are faced with completely different rhetoric towards Europe, and we must honestly admit that our relations have suffered,” he noted.
At the same time, the Prime Minister emphasized that the EU should not give up its relations with the US, but rather Europe should become more independent and cooperate with other partners.
According to him, now is the time to move forward to make Europe more competitive: from removing barriers in the single market and reducing bureaucracy to increasing global trade and economic security.
