Sweden has invested $100 million in the PURL initiative, through which US weapons are purchased for Ukraine.
“Elchi” reports that the Swedish government has released information about this.
Sweden, together with the Netherlands, Norway and Great Britain, is contributing to an aid package with a total value of 500 million dollars.
“Air defense and combat ammunition are crucial for Ukraine to be able to defend itself against Russia’s continued attacks. Together with our allies and partners, we are sending a clear message that we are committed to peace and security in Europe,” said Swedish Defense Minister Paul Jonson.
According to the information released yesterday by the Dutch Ministry of Defense, these funds should be used to purchase essential equipment for Ukraine – missiles for Patriot systems, artillery shells, ammunition for F-16 fighters and spare parts.
