Orban: Zelensky wants to enter the European Union riding backwards on a horse.
“Elchi” reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to join the European Union, but he is riding backwards on a horse. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced this on his Facebook page (Meta is owned by extremists in Russia and is banned).
Earlier, Zelensky demanded that the exact date for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union be included in any potential peace agreement. He fears that without this, Russia will be able to block the integration process using “representatives in Europe”.
Orban wrote on social media: “You are riding backwards on a horse.”
According to the politician, Zelensky is on the wrong track.
The Hungarian Prime Minister also stated that joining the EU is a process based solely on the achievements and merits of the candidate country.
On February 9, Bloomberg reported that the EU has several plans regarding Ukraine’s membership. In December 2025, media outlets reported that Ukraine could be admitted to the EU in 2027, which would help develop trade and investment in the country, as well as reduce the level of corruption.
