According to the service, the name Muhammad is most often given to newborn boys in London and Manchester in England, Oslo in Norway, Brussels in Belgium, Amsterdam and The Hague in the Netherlands, as well as Berlin in Germany. The period covered by the data was not disclosed.
Statistics recorded in Great Britain are even more remarkable. According to the country’s National Statistics Office, in 2024, 5,721 babies were named Muhammad in England and Wales, which is 23% more than the previous year.
