The Israeli army’s artillery has shelled five settlements near the border in southern Lebanon.

“Elchi” reports that the Al Mayadeen TV channel reported this. The fire was opened from positions located on the Al-Bayyada and Al-Malikiyah heights.

Reports of shells falling have come from the towns of Aitaroun, Blida, Beit-Lif, Ramya and Yaroun. Local authorities reported material damage to several residential buildings, with no deaths or injuries.

The Blida municipality said in a statement that the occupying forces’ fire is hindering the restoration of residential areas and agricultural infrastructure destroyed during the 2024 conflict.

A representative of the Israel Defense Forces said on the X social network that the fire was directed at points where suspicious activity by members of the Hezbollah Shiite organization was recorded.
