China has successfully recovered the first stage of the Long March Lunar Rocket for the first time.
“Elchi” reports that Chinese experts have successfully recovered the first stage of the new Long March 10 launch vehicle, Xinhua News Agency reports.
The search and rescue team found and extracted the spent stage from the sea. This is China’s first maritime search and recovery mission for the first stage of this rocket.
The Long March 10 is a key element of the manned lunar mission program. The launch vehicle is specifically designed to launch the new Mengzhou manned spacecraft and the Lanyue lunar lander into orbit.
Previously, it was reported that China’s Galactic Energy company successfully launched four Tianqi telecommunications satellites into orbit. Tianqi 37–40 satellites will be used to implement the Xiwang (Hope) project, an international Internet of Things project. Galactic Energy says it is currently working to provide consumer services via electronic devices in cars and portable devices.
In December, China successfully launched four PIESAT-2 Earth remote sensing satellites into orbit thanks to the efforts of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC).
