According to the court’s decision today, he was conditionally released from his sentence ahead of schedule.
It should be reminded that Ata Abdullayev was arrested in March 2021. He was found guilty under Article 182.2.2 (extortion by threats) of the Criminal Code and sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment by the Baku Grave Crimes Court. The Baku Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court upheld the verdict.
