Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that if an agreement is reached in negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program, Tel Aviv’s interests should be taken into account.
Elchi.az reports that Netanyahu made this statement to journalists at the airport upon returning to Israel after discussions with US President Donald Trump in Washington.
“He (Donald Trump – ed.) wanted to hear my opinion. I expressed general skepticism about the essence of any agreement with Iran,” the Israeli Prime Minister said.
Netanyahu noted that not only the nuclear problem, but also issues of concern to Israel regarding ballistic missiles and Iran’s proxy forces should be taken into account.
Netanyahu said that the peace plan implemented in the Gaza Strip was also discussed with Trump.
