The opponents of the Azerbaijani national team in the UEFA Nations League will be known today.
Elchi.az reports that the draw ceremony to be held in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, will start at 21:00 Baku time.
The team, coached by Aykhan Abbasov, will join the draw in Pot 1 of League D. Here, 2 groups of 3 teams will be formed. In these groups, the teams will play 4 matches against each other on a home and away basis.
The two national teams that will participate in League D will be determined after the play-off matches to be held in March.

If the losing side in the play-off takes one of the 49th-52nd places in the ranking, it will remain in the first pot. If it is ranked 53rd or 54th, it will fall into the second pot. These pairs will be represented in the draw as the owners of those places.
It should be noted that the new season in the UEFA Nations League will start on September 24. If the last matches of the group will take place in November, the final stage of the tournament will take place in June 2027.
