During 2025, 17 billion 677.8 million cigarettes and cigars, and 1926.6 tons of tobacco were produced in Azerbaijan.
Elchi.az reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that cigarette and cigar production increased by 16.4% annually, while tobacco production decreased by 2.2 times.
It should be noted that as of January 1, 2026, the stock of finished products for cigarettes and tobacco amounted to 1 billion 347.6 million pieces and 150.4 tons, respectively.
It should be reminded that last year the import of tobacco and tobacco information to Azerbaijan increased by 11.1% compared to the previous year and amounted to 131 million 961 thousand US dollars.
