Armed individuals have raided a school in Hat Yai, Songkhla Province, Thailand, taking teachers and students hostage.
Elchi.az reports, citing Thailand’s “The Nation” newspaper, that armed individuals attacked one of the schools located in Hat Yai.
It is reported that the attackers took several teachers and students hostage, and one teacher was shot.
According to the police statement, the armed individuals entered the school shortly before the end of classes and took some teachers and students hostage. It was noted that many students are still in the building.
Security forces are negotiating with the armed individuals. There is no precise information yet about the number of attackers and the latest situation inside the school.
