A shooting has occurred at a high school in Canada. At least 10 people, including the attacker, have died. The condition of 25 of the injured is serious.
Elchi.az reports that, according to a statement by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), a shooting occurred at a school in the Tumbler Ridge area of the province.
Six people died in the shooting at the school, and another died while being taken to the hospital.
RCMP units reported that two more people were found dead in a nearby house they believed was related to the attack.
It was also reported that a person believed to be the attacker was found dead.
Regarding the condition of the injured, it was stated: “Two victims were taken to the hospital with serious or life-threatening injuries. 25 people are being examined at the local medical center for non-life-threatening injuries. All remaining students and staff have been safely evacuated.”
It has been confirmed that the deceased attacker was the person described in the attack warning sent to phones in the area as “a woman with brown hair and clothing.”
It was reported that all approximately 100 students and staff at the school were safely evacuated.
It has been announced that elementary and secondary schools in the Tumbler Ridge area will be closed this week.
