Netanyahu revokes Israeli citizenship of two Palestinians

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that he had instructed to revoke the citizenship of two Palestinian Israeli citizens convicted of terrorism and deport them to Palestinian-controlled territories.

Elchi.az reports that AFP reported this.

This is the first time under the 2023 law that people who carry out attacks against Israel, whose families subsequently receive compensation from the Palestinian Authority based in the West Bank, are allowed to be deprived of Israeli citizenship or residency permits.

“This morning I signed the cancellation of citizenship and deportation of two Israeli terrorists who carried out stabbing and shooting attacks against Israeli civilians and were rewarded by the Palestinian Authority for their heinous acts,” Netanyahu’s office said in a statement.
