In January of this year, consumers in Azerbaijan spent 303 million manats on motor gasoline and diesel fuel alone in the retail trade network.
This was reported by Elchi.az with reference to the State Statistics Committee.
According to the information, the indicator recorded during the reporting period exceeded the indicator of the corresponding period of 2025 by 5.6%.
It should be reminded that last year, consumers spent 3,856.3 million manats on motor gasoline and diesel fuel alone in the retail trade network in Azerbaijan, which is 7.8% more than in annual comparison.
It should be noted that in Azerbaijan, oil is processed at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, which was founded in 1953. The plant fully meets the republic’s demand for petroleum products. Currently, reconstruction and modernization works are being carried out at the refinery.
