DİN appeals regarding violence against women – VIDEO

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has appealed regarding cases of violence against women.

Elchi.az reports with reference to the ministry that the appeal noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with relevant government agencies, regularly carries out preventive measures in the field of preventing crimes, including domestic violence against women and children:

“Combating domestic violence is not only about intervening after an incident occurs, but also about reducing risks in advance through preventive measures.

It was reported that the measures taken in this direction are both legal, social, and educational in nature. Every woman who is subjected to violence inevitably encounters phrases such as “These things happen in the family”, “What will people say?”, “Don’t let the neighbors know”, “Just endure a little, it will get better”. At first glance, this seems like a personal problem, but in reality, gender-based violence is a serious threat to a healthy future.
It should be noted that violence hidden behind the veil of “family matters” is not a woman’s fate, but a violation of security aimed at society. No woman is doomed to be beaten, insulted, humiliated, and live in fear. Silence does not solve the problem, it creates conditions for it to continue and deepen.

The information noted that, along with other institutions, the MIA’s “102” Service-Call Center, the “102 SOS” function in the “E-polis” mobile application, and social network accounts serve to prevent such crimes in a timely manner and to take adequate measures to prevent impunity for perpetrators of violence.

We once again bring to the attention of citizens that violence is not only a woman’s problem, but also the responsibility of her neighbor, acquaintance, and every citizen who witnesses it. In order to protect healthy family values and demonstrate a firm stance against violence, everyone who faces or witnesses such situations is advised to inform the relevant government agencies.

Violence is not a personal problem that remains within the walls of a house, but an open threat to the security of society.”
