Iran Makes Statement Regarding US “Attack Threat”

Aziz Qazanzari, Deputy Commander for Political Affairs of the Revolutionary Guards Corps, stated that the US presented Iran with four conditions before the Oman talks and threatened to attack if these conditions were not met.
Elchi.az reports that Qazanzari made these statements in the Revolutionary Guards-affiliated “Sobh-e Sadik” magazine regarding indirect negotiations between Iranian and US delegations in Oman.
Qazanzari stated that the US presented Iran with four conditions before the Oman talks and threatened to attack if these conditions were not met, adding that his country did not surrender to this threat and psychological warfare.
Qazanzari reminded that the US wanted to make the ballistic missile program, support for regional proxy groups, enriched uranium, and the nuclear issue the subject of negotiations, and stated that Iran’s defense capability could not be the subject of negotiations and that they continued to take military measures despite the negotiations.
Claiming that the general framework of the Oman talks was formed in accordance with Iran’s position, not the conditions put forward by the US, Qazanzari reminded that the talks were only about nuclear issues.
Qazanzari emphasized that the Iranian negotiating team, which is conducting the negotiation process with the US, operates within the policies determined by the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, and therefore the negotiating team should be trusted.
