US Vice President Jay Dee Vance and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan have signed a joint statement on the completion of negotiations on a cooperation agreement in the field of peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
Elchi.az reports that the document was signed based on the results of negotiations between the parties during Vance’s visit to Armenia.
According to Vance, this agreement will benefit both countries.
“The potential for cooperation is estimated at $5 billion within the framework of exports and $4 billion in the field of fuel and maintenance. Small modular reactors will be supplied to Armenia. The agreements will ensure the energy security of both the US and Armenia, as well as the creation of numerous jobs,” he noted.
