Dror Ami, the former head of security for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has revealed a series of scandals related to the Netanyahu family. Among the most sensational was Yair Netanyahu’s attack on his father, which led to his forced return to the United States.
Elchi.az reports that these statements were made in a recent interview with the Israeli newspaper “Maariv”.
The former bodyguard, who provided security for Netanyahu and his wife in the late 1990s and later became one of the leaders of the anti-Netanyahu protest movement, revealed secrets that had been hidden for many years.
Ami said in a podcast interview with the newspaper, “Yair attacked his father, the prime minister, which required the intervention of the personal security detail to separate the parties and prevent tension,” adding that the incident ended with Yair’s forced deportation to the United States.
He explained that the decision to send Yair Netanyahu to Miami was made immediately after the incident, stating that it was impossible to separate what happened from, in his words, “exceptional and immoral family behavior affecting more than one member of the Netanyahu family.”
In February 2025, Yair Netanyahu filed a defamation lawsuit against Knesset member Naama Lazimi after she claimed that he was expelled for beating her father.
