Azerbaijan’s non-oil and gas industry has increased by almost 8 percent.
Elchi.az reports that this was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on February 9 while receiving a delegation headed by Kush Choksi, Senior Vice President for International Affairs, Middle East and Turkey at the US Chamber of Commerce.
“By the way, diversifying the economy is one of the goals we have set. We are seeing good results. I just looked at the statistics for January of this year, our non-oil and gas industry has increased by almost 8 percent. This was made possible by that diversification. Thus, agreements and cooperation on traditional energy sources allow us to raise funds and reinvest.”
