Student dormitory in Russia attacked with knives, injuries reported

Several people were injured in a knife attack at a university dormitory located at 6 Repina Street in Ufa, Russia.

Irina Volk, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, stated that a person who injured four students and a police officer in a dormitory of a higher education institution in Ufa was detained.

“The details of the incident are being clarified,” Volk noted.

According to reports, the road to the dormitory has been blocked by the police. The building located at 6 Repina Street is a dormitory of the Bashkir State Medical University, where foreign students also live.

According to preliminary information, a total of five people, including a police officer, may have been injured in the attack.

Investigative measures related to the incident are ongoing.
