SpaceX Plans Uncrewed Lunar Landing in 2027

The US company SpaceX plans to carry out the first uncrewed landing of the Starship spacecraft on the Moon in March 2027.

Elchi.az reports that The Wall Street Journal reported this with reference to sources.

According to reports, achieving this goal will be a difficult technical process and will require frequent test flights of Starship. The newspaper writes that SpaceX has now decided to focus on the lunar program being implemented jointly with NASA, and therefore has temporarily put aside its ambitions related to the Mars mission.

It is noted that according to Elon Musk’s initial plan, Starship was to fly to Mars in uncrewed mode in 2026, and after the safety of the landing was checked, manned missions were to begin.
