Sanctions have seriously affected Russia’s exports to Switzerland

Exports of Russian goods and services to Switzerland have decreased significantly due to sanctions.

Elchi.az reports that this was stated by Sergey Garmonin, Russian Ambassador in Bern, in an interview with TASS.

According to the diplomat, in 2024, Russia’s domestic exports to Switzerland amounted to 706 million Swiss francs. During the same period, imports amounted to 2.23 billion francs, 80% of which are pharmaceutical products.

The volume of Russian-Swiss trade in 2023 amounted to 3.56 billion Swiss francs, and thus, in 2024, exports decreased five times compared to the level of the previous year.
