One of the football players with whom “Qarabağ”, which is waiting for the transfer activity of fans, is negotiating has been revealed.
Elchi.az reports with reference to Oxu.az that the Aghdam representative is currently negotiating to transfer Sambou Soumano, the striker of the French club “Lorient”.
It is reported that the negotiations are proceeding successfully.
It should be reminded that although “Qarabağ” showed activity to transfer S. Soumano at the end of last year, it could not reach a common agreement with the French representative. Thus, although “Lorient” reduced the amount intended for the transfer from 5 million euros to 3.5 million, the Aghdam club limited its offer to 2.5 million euros and bonuses and withdrew from the negotiations.
It should be noted that Sambou Soumano moved to “Lorient” in 2021. After that, he was loaned out three times. The forward first played on loan at the Belgian club “Eupen”.
Later, he played for the French lower league representatives “Rodez” and “Quevilly Rouen”. In 2024, he returned to his “Lorient”. Last season, he managed to score 14 goals in 32 matches in League 2. This season, he scored once in three matches in League 1. He was able to find the goal of “Rennes” in the 2nd round.
