Elchi.az reports that US and Iranian delegations will meet today in Oman to discuss Tehran’s nuclear program.
The US and Iran will meet today in Muscat, the capital of Oman, to discuss Tehran’s nuclear program. The US will be represented by Steve Witkov, President Donald Trump’s special representative for the Middle East, and Iran will be represented by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
Iranian media reported that Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi was in Muscat at night with a large number of diplomats. In a social media post, Araqchi said, “Iran enters diplomacy with open eyes and without forgetting the bitter memory of last year. We act in good faith and resolutely defend our rights. Obligations must be fulfilled. Equality, mutual respect and common interests are not only rhetoric, but also necessary and form the cornerstones of a lasting agreement.”
