Japanese brands have taken six of the top seven spots in the 2026 most reliable car brands ranking.
Elchi.az reports that the “Consumer Reports” magazine has released information about this.
“Toyota” heads the list, followed by “Subaru” and “Lexus”.
It was stated that these manufacturers are known for their conservative engineering philosophies and reliance on proven technologies.
“Toyota” cars are designed to travel more than 300,000 kilometers with proper maintenance.
“This is achieved through strict quality control at all stages of production and simplified powertrains that reduce potential failure points,” – Naked Science magazine wrote.
“Honda” and “Nissan” brands also showed good results, confirming Japan’s leadership in the field of sustainable and reliable automotive technology.
European car manufacturers are mostly in the middle of the rankings. The best of them is BMW, which is 5th in the list and surpasses several Japanese competitors.
“Volkswagen”, “Audi”, “Mercedes-Benz” and “Volvo” companies scored below 40 points.
“Tesla” has made significant progress compared to previous years and has moved up eight places to ninth place.
