The Kremlin hopes that the talks between Tehran and Washington on the Iranian nuclear issue will be productive and lead to a decrease in tension.
Elchi.az reports that this was stated by Russian President’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.
He emphasized that Russia welcomes the negotiations that have just started in Oman.
“We want these negotiations to be productive and lead to a decrease in tension in the region. Of course, until this happens, we would like all interested countries to be restrained,” the Kremlin spokesman added.
It should be noted that the US and Iran are holding talks in Oman today regarding Tehran’s nuclear program. The US delegation at the talks is headed by Donald Trump’s special representative Steve Whitkoff, and the Iranian delegation is headed by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
