The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan (MFA) has offered condolences to Pakistan.
Elchi.az reports that this was stated on the MFA’s social network account.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in connection with the tragic terrorist act in Islamabad that resulted in the death of many people in the mosque. We strongly condemn this heinous act of terrorism and violence targeting people worshiping in a holy place. We pray for the victims and their families and wish the injured a speedy recovery. Azerbaijan stands in solidarity with brotherly Pakistan. Azerbaijan reiterates its support for peace and stability, as well as the fight against all forms of terrorism,” the condolence message reads.
It should be noted that at least 31 people were killed and 169 were injured as a result of an explosion during Friday prayers in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, today.
