“Shamakhi” has won its 60th victory in the national cup.
Elchi.az reports with reference to the official website of the Professional Football League that this coincided with the home match against “Qarabağ” within the first leg of the 1/4 final stage of the Bizon Azerbaijan Cup.
The club of the same name from Shamakhi won with a score of 2:1. The club, which previously bore the names “Khazar University”, “Inter” and “Keshla”, achieved its 60th victory in its 115th game.
“Shamakhi” won 34 times at home, 24 times away, and 2 times on neutral ground. This is the 4th result in the history of the competition. Only “Qarabağ”, “Neftçi” and “Kəpəz” have more victories.
It should be noted that “Shamakhi” won its first victory in the 2001/02 season in the away match against “Ümid” (Baku) in the 1/8 finals – 3:1.
