German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has called on the Iranian leadership to start real negotiations ahead of planned consultations with US representatives.
Elchi.az reports with reference to “Al Arabia” that Mertz told journalists about this during his three-day visit to Doha.
He noted that Iran must stop its nuclear program and refrain from military threats against Israel, as well as other countries in the region. The Chancellor emphasized that negotiations will be activated in the coming hours and noted that Germany is closely coordinating its activities with the United States.
It should be noted that the US and Iran are planning to hold talks on Iran’s nuclear program in Oman on February 6.
