Employees of the Main Customs Department in Air Transport prevented an attempt to illegally import diamonds and gold jewelry into the country.

According to the information, a customs inspection was carried out on the hand luggage of a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan who arrived on the Dubai-Baku flight, and a personal inspection was carried out on him.
During the inspection, 12.745 carats of diamonds and gold jewelry with a total weight of 13 grams, hidden inside the suitcase belonging to the person and not declared to the customs authority, were discovered.
