Iran’s Supreme Religious Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei must be very concerned amid rising tensions.
Elchi.az reports that US President Donald Trump said this in an exclusive interview with NBC News.
He commented on the consequences of strikes on nuclear facilities in Iran. According to Trump, Tehran is trying to restore its nuclear program.
“There is complete destruction in Iran right now… We destroyed their nuclear potential. But I want peace in the Middle East. If we hadn’t attacked their nuclear facilities, the Arab countries would have continued to fear Iran,” the American leader said.
The head of the Washington administration threatened Iran with “very bad things” if it resumes its nuclear activities.
At the same time, Trump claimed that the parties continued the dialogue: “They (Iran – ed.) are negotiating with us.”
