SSC: 935 invigilators removed from the database last year

“Last year, 935 people were removed from the invigilator database for various reasons. 286 of them are directly related to the exam.”

Elchi.az reports that this was stated by Adigozal Habibov, Head of the Organizational-Methodological Support, Training and Work with Regional Divisions Department of the State Examination Center.

He stated that 6 invigilators were dismissed because a phone was found by the exam supervisor in the exam hall or because they brought a phone into the exam building:

“346 people were dismissed for repeatedly refusing to participate in the exam, 159 for allowing serious cheating in the exams held this year and creating conditions for cheating – changing question books, answer cards, turning a blind eye to the use of notes, etc. – determined by the exam supervisor, 14 for giving the wrong answer card, answer sheet, question book, writing sheet, 10 invigilators were dismissed because the exam participant took the answer card or answer sheet or writing sheet out of the exam hall.”

The head of the department noted that certified invigilators are less likely to commit violations.
According to him, the statistics of cheating cases determined by the computer program show that there is no correlation between the number of times the supervisor participates in the exam, i.e. experience, and the number of cheating cases.

Adigozal Habibov noted that the violations committed in the graduation and admission exams held in the regions covering the regional divisions are twice as high as the exams held in Baku, Sumgayit and Absheron: “In the second stage of admission exams to higher education institutions, violations are more common in the halls where graduates of previous years are placed. Also, violations are more common in the halls where current year graduates are placed in the graduation and admission exams to secondary specialized education institutions for graduates of previous years.”

The head of the department added that mainly physics, chemistry, history, English, technology and primary school teachers committed more violations in the admission exams this year.

It was noted that primary school teachers created more conditions for violations not only this year, but also in the admission and graduation exams held in 2024, 2023 and 2022.
