The Israeli army has struck Bilal Abu Assiyeh, a field commander of the Hamas movement in the southern Gaza Strip.
Elchi.az reports that the Israeli Defense Forces announced this on their Telegram channel.
“When terrorists opened fire on Israeli forces in the northern Gaza Strip, the Israeli army struck a terrorist in the southern Strip in response to the violation of the ceasefire agreement,” the statement said.
According to the Israeli Defense Forces, Bilal Abu Assi headed the Hamas “Nukhba” battalion and led the attack on Nir-Oz on October 7, 2023.
