The registration of insured persons with the insurer will be carried out only with FIN.
According to Elchi.az, this was reflected in the draft law “On Amendments to the Labor Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Individual Registration in the State Social Insurance System” and “On Labor Pensions” discussed at today’s meeting of the Labor and Social Policy Committee of the Milli Majlis.
It was noted that accelerating the transition to electronic services in the state social insurance system and the application of innovative solutions necessitate changes and improvements related to this system on a regular basis. When a social insurance number is issued, it is linked to the individual identification number of that person’s identity card in electronic systems.
Currently, when submitting a single quarterly declaration related to paid work by insurers, entering both SSN and FIN information creates an additional workload and causes the database to be loaded in the system. It should be noted that the accounting of information in the relevant fields of most government agencies is also carried out through FIN.
In this regard, a draft law has been prepared on amendments to the Labor Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Individual Registration in the State Social Insurance System” and “On Labor Pensions” in order to ensure that insured persons are registered with the insurer only with FIN.
The draft law proposes that insured persons be registered with the insurer only with FIN. These changes will ensure uniformity and consistency in the management of information in the social insurance system, as well as facilitate data exchange between institutions and accelerate the integration of e-systems.
Thus, the adoption of the mentioned project will allow the application of modern approaches and increase efficiency in the operation of the social insurance system. At the same time, there will be no need for insurers to request the SSN from insured persons with a social insurance number or to find out the social insurance number in another way when hiring.
