Iran has included the armed forces of the European Union (EU) countries in the list of terrorist organizations as a response to a similar measure against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Elchi.az reports with reference to “Abcnews” that this was stated by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Chairman of the Islamic Council Assembly of Iran.
“According to Article 7 of the ‘Countermeasures Law’, in response to the designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization, the armies of European countries are considered terrorist groups, and the consequences of this step will fall on the European Union,” Ghalibaf noted.
It should be noted that on January 29, the EU included the IRGC in the list of terrorist organizations. The EU also announced the imposition of sanctions against 15 Iranian officials and the expansion of export restrictions on the supply of dual-use products to Iran, including components for the production of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.
