Russia does not accept the deployment of European Union or NATO forces on Ukrainian territory as part of security guarantees.
According to Elchi.az, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said this in a statement to local media.
“We have made it clear that this is unacceptable: no NATO membership and no foreign forces. For example, it does not matter if a French corporal wears a hat with the inscription “NATO” or “EU”,” Grushko said.
According to him, this does not change the situation, and that is why Moscow has not deviated from its position on the unacceptability of the deployment of troops in Ukraine.
Grushko previously stated that the best guarantee of Ukraine’s security is to provide a firm guarantee of Russia’s security.
