Elchi.az reports that this was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi to “CNN Türk”.
He also noted that in response to the European Union’s recognition of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, the Iranian parliament may also include European armies in the list of terrorist organizations.
Abbas Araqchi also emphasized that several options are on the table regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) previously warned about the IRGC’s two-day military exercises in the Strait of Hormuz. After CENTCOM announced that the IRGC would conduct a two-day exercise in the strait using live ammunition, it called on the corps to refrain from creating tension and dangerous behavior in the international waterway. The US military threatened the IRGC with harsh measures in case of the opposite.
