When asked if he had spoken to Iran in the last few days or if he planned to speak, Trump replied, “I have spoken and plan to speak.”
Warning the Tehran administration, Trump said: “We currently have very large and very powerful ships heading to Iran. It would be great if we didn’t have to use them.”
The US president, who said that Iran should do something about its nuclear weapons program and not target protesters, said: “I told them two things. First, not to allow nuclear weapons, and second, to stop killing protesters. They are killing thousands of people. I stopped 837 executions two weeks ago, but now they will have to do something.”
Trump stated that he spoke directly with Iranian officials and said: “I have had conversations and plan to continue to do so.” Trump, who said that the military option could be considered if the regime does not agree, said: “We currently have many large and powerful ships sailing towards Iran. It would be great if we didn’t use them.” Although President Trump refrained from giving details about who he contacted, the White House did not make another statement on the matter. However, Trump openly shared the content of the message he conveyed to Iran.
