Pancreatic cancer treated in mice in a study conducted in Spain

A “triple combination therapy” has been applied in a study conducted in Spain to treat pancreatic tumors in mice.

Elchi.az reports that within the framework of the research carried out at the Spanish National Cancer Research Center (CNIO), scientists have conducted experiments on mice to treat pancreatic cancer, which is considered one of the cancer types with the lowest survival rate.

As a result of the research, it was determined that pancreatic tumors in mice could be destroyed by applying “triple combination therapy”.

The researchers stated that this work may pave the way for the development of new combination therapies that could increase the survival probability of patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. At the same time, the research also sets a direction for the development of new clinical trials.

Scientists have noted that the mice used in the experiment did not show resistance to the drugs given.

However, it is necessary to conduct clinical trials to determine the effect of the treatment on humans.
