US President Donald Trump has announced major progress in negotiations on a peaceful resolution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Elchi.az reports that he said this at a meeting at the White House.
He expressed hope that the war between Russia and Ukraine would end soon. “We are making great progress,” he said, addressing his special envoy, Steve Whitkoff.
Trump also noted that he personally asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to have the Russian Armed Forces suspend some attacks on Ukraine, especially Kyiv, for a week during this winter period.
“He agreed to that,” Trump emphasized.
