Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bekayi, in response to allegations that the US is preparing a military attack on the country, said that any attack would be answered “comprehensively.”
Elchi.az reports that, in response to a question about allegations that the US is preparing to attack Iran, Bekayi said: “Iran is confident in both its capabilities and its past experiences, including the June (war) war. We are in a stronger position. Iran will give a more comprehensive and regrettable response to any attack.”
Stating that the deployment of military forces and military threats are a clear violation of international law, Bekayi said: “The deployment of warships to the region will not create the slightest weakness in Iran’s will and determination to defend its existence.”
Bekayi said that, as in the past, they are currently facing a hybrid war, which is a continuation of the attacks in June, and added:
“In the last few months, we have been faced with claims or threats originating from the US and the Zionist regime. The countries of the region know that any security problem in the region is not directed only at Iran. Therefore, there is a common concern among the countries of the region.”
Bekayi also denied allegations that Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and US President Donald Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Vitkoff, exchanged messages.
