By the next initiative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the Decision of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 19, 2025, on the announcement of amnesty on the occasion of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty” has been applied to 429 criminal cases in the preliminary investigation and trial stages, as well as to 14,160 convicted persons, and has been applied to a total of 14,589 people.
Elchi.az reports that Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev stated this at an expanded board meeting of the Prosecutor General’s Office to discuss the work done in 2025 and the tasks ahead.
