Turkish and Nigerian presidents discussed security issues in Africa

There is no stability around Nigeria, which is why we focused on the issue of combating terrorism with the President of Turkey.

Elchi.az reports that this was stated by Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at a joint press conference after meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara.

“Peace and security issues on the continent were discussed. We have noted what you said about Somalia, and Nigeria is keeping this issue – democracy, prosperity – in focus,” Tinubu said.

It should be noted that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also emphasized in his speech that terrorist groups on the African coasts pose a threat to the entire continent and that they will help Nigeria in the fight against this problem.
