A voluntary blood donation campaign was organized in the N military unit of the Air Force within the framework of the “For Life without Thalassemia” program implemented on the initiative of the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mehriban Aliyeva.
Elchi.az reports that the Ministry of Defense’s Press Service released information about this.
Military unit personnel participated in the campaign, which was held to create a blood supply for children suffering from thalassemia, hemophilia, and leukemia. Donors were examined by a mobile medical team from the Blood Bank of the National Hematology and Transfusiology Center, after which blood was taken from them.
It should be noted that the collected blood supply will be handed over to the Republican Thalassemia Center after being checked and certified.
