Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar visited the Alley of Martyrs and Victory Park.
Elchi.az reports that the minister announced this on his Facebook page.
“During a visit to the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate those who died in the Karabakh wars, as well as the victims of “Black January”, I laid a wreath on the grave of Albert Agarunov, a Jewish soldier who died while serving as a tank officer in the First Karabakh War, and at the Victory Park in Baku.
Albert Agarunov was posthumously awarded the title of National Hero of Azerbaijan and was buried in the Alley of Martyrs. Along with rabbis, Muslim clerics also participated in his funeral,” the minister said on his social network account.
