On January 18, the smuggling of narcotics from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan by unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was prevented in the service area of the “Horadiz” border detachment of the Border Troops Command.

It was reported that as a result of complex operational-search measures jointly conducted by employees of the State Border Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the UAV that illegally entered our airspace was detected and neutralized in a timely manner.
During the inspection of the scene, 6 kilograms and 600 grams of marijuana were seized.
Operational-investigative measures are being continued regarding the fact.
