The first patient to undergo robotic surgery at the New Clinic has been discharged

The first patient to undergo robotic surgery at the New Clinic was discharged today.

Elchi.az reports that the patient (male), born in 2003, who underwent cholecystectomy with robotic surgery, was kept under medical supervision for 24 hours.

It should be reminded that robotic surgical operations have started at the New Clinic. The first robotic cholecystectomy (surgical removal of the gallbladder), performed on a patient born in 2003 on January 22 this year, was successfully completed.

It was reported that in such surgical operations, the console surgeon does not directly touch the patient, and all interventions are carried out through the robot system. He observes the surgical field in detail by working under a high-precision imaging system with 3D and 12x magnification. It precisely performs all movements of the robot arms – cutting, suturing, dissection and other surgical manipulations – via joysticks.
